How to Use It:
Choose a letter or number card and place it on the Drill Board. Pre-perforated holes in the cards make placement easy!
With letter cards, use the colorful plastic bolts to create the outline of the letter. With the two-sided number cards, count and place the right number of colored bolts on the drill board.
Use the kid-friendly power drill or hand held screwdriver to tighten the bolts on the board.

Letter Sounds: Identify the letter represented on the card. Practice making the letter sounds. Examples: “B as in butterfly” or “B makes the /b/ sound.”
Letter Formation: Before drilling bolts into the cards, have your child trace over each letter with their finger. This will encourage proper letter formation and letter recognition.
Counting: Count the number of objects on each number card to practice counting with one-to-one correspondence.
Language: Create opportunities for your child to engage in conversation by asking questions such as “How many blueberries are on that muffin?” or “What sound does this letter make?” Asking questions is a great way to assess comprehension and build language development.
Hand Skills: Tighten and untighten the bolts on the drill board to work the fine motor skills needed for tying shoes and holding pencils.
Hand-Eye Coordination. Placing bolts accurately in the corresponding holes on the drill board is a great way to get the hands and eyes working together!
