Understanding the Relationship between Sensory Integration and the Suck/Swallow/Breathe Synchrony (SSB) presented by Eileen W. Richter, MPH, OTR/L, FAOTA
June 18, 2019 - 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM EST
Webinar description
In the discussion around sensory integration and treatment, the significance of the SSB synchrony in assessment and treatment for children with sensory motor challenges is often overlooked. As arguably the most organized functional sensory motor coordination available at birth, there are many reasons to consider the SSB an important aspect of sensory integration. We will discuss the pervasive influence of SSB function on sensory integration and child development in general, citing recent research to inform and support clinical observations.
