What a great chair! Except that this chair has no legs - just a back and seat made of wooden slats and brightly colored canvas that can be rolled up and carried under an arm. Use on the floor or on another chair, inside or outside at the beach. The side straps are adjustable so the seat can be lengthened or shortened to provide more of a hug effect. The HowdaSeats are for adults. The HowdaHUGS give children the feeling of comfort and security by providing them with deep pressure. Children also gain a sense of their own space while sitting in them, making them ideal for Circle Time. The chair can be rocked in a linear fashion, back and forth, to give children the vestibular input that many of them crave. It has been dubbed "The Listening Chair" because of the impact that the chair has on children's improved ability to attend.
