How To Use It: My Motor Mats are an occupational and physical therapy tool and not a toy, children should not use this product without supervision.
Unroll your mats and place them on a flat surface with the My Motor Mats logo facing up. Mats can be placed in a configuration that best works for your space; a long straight path, U shaped path, L shaped path the possibilities are endless! (additional mats are sold separately)
Use the reusable graphics to create varied sensory paths tailored to the students/child’s needs. Peel your graphics off of the sticker sheet and place with graphic side up onto the mat. The graphics are meant to correspond to a particular type of movement. The graphics and movement consist of the following:
Crab – Crab walk/Proprioception & Motor Planning
Tornado – Spin/Vestibular
Frog – Frog Leap/Proprioception
Feet – Directionality/Motor Planning
Balance Beam – Balance/Vestibular
Jump & Arrows – Jumping/Proprioception
When you are done, the graphics can be peeled off the mat and placed back on your sticker sheet. For storage of the mats, roll the mats logo facing out in groups of up to three, and place in the carry bag. My Motor Mats can be easily cleaned using warm soapy water or disinfected using alcohol wipes before storing in carry bag. Graphics can be cleaned with warm soapy damp cloth and dried before placing back on your graphics sheet.
