Caregivers of children with autism & other disabilities frequently express frustration when Start Your School Year With S’cool Moves: Time busting, easy-to-implement, and effective collaboration activities that teachers, therapists, and students love that enhance behavior, social-emotional skills, and academics at the same time.

1. Learn the three S’cool Moves strands and how to use them effectively within a team-based approach to meet student goals;
2. Utilize polyvagal tools to help children (and staff!) map their nervous systems;
3. Learn Dr. Wilson’s Top Ten Activities that can be used for large groups, small groups, and individuals that support behavior, social-emotional skills, and academics.
About the presenter
Dr. Debra Em Wilson is the Founder of S’cool Moves and a graduate from the University of Southern Queensland. Her dissertation uncovered attributes of successful collaboration between occupational therapists and general education teachers working together in the classroom. Debra consults with districts, focusing on collaboration between support staff and teachers. For twenty plus years, her workshops have provided evidence based strategies to support all students in the classroom. She is the author of numerous books and instructional materials integrating therapy techniques with academic standards. Debra’s experience as the mother of a child with special needs enhances her understanding of children who learn differently and have a difficult time fitting in with their peers.
