Did you know that the cerebellum makes up only 10% of the brain's volume but embodies approximately two thirds of the neurons of our brain? In this webinar you will learn the importance of the "little brain" and how cerebellar dysfunction impacts children with ASD, anxiety and other dysfunctions.
Learning Objectives: 1. Understand the cerebellum and its connection to higher level thinking; 2. Learn different treatment strategies to facilitate neuroplasticity of the cerebellum for enhancement of functional skills.
Lyudmila (Mila) Teshler MS., OTR/L is the owner and director of KidLink Therapy in Lexington, MA. She is a pediatric Occupational Therapist with seventeen years of experience working with infants, children and adolescents in diverse settings. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Health Sciences, and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Touro College School of Health Sciences. While completing graduate school studies Mila received a scholarship from NYC Department of Education. There she worked as an occupational therapist, an evaluator and a lecturer. In 2009, she co-founded a successful pediatric practice in Brooklyn, NY. Since moving to Massachusetts, Mila worked in a variety of settings including outpatient sensory integration clinics, public and private schools.
