These large red marble mazes are great for eye tracking, motor planning, bilateral integration and midline crossing. Each Race the 8's board has 2 sides with many ways to use it:
1) it can be held by the end handles or by the interior handles to change the perspective of the activity
2) begin working seated at a desk, or lap, and then proceed to standing
3) vary using one of the four balls for color, texture and visual stimulation (the rubber balls create slightly more friction in the "tracks", while the marble makes the action faster).
Race the 8s 1: One side is a more linear version of the 8 pattern while the other side has the 8 pattern with "wiggles" at the top and bottom of the 8.
Race the 8s 2: One side is a labyrinth, an ancient pattern intended to create focus and attention to an 'inner world.' It has one way into the center and one way out from the center. The other side creates a 3-tracked pattern on the 8 pattern. This becomes an increasingly more difficult activity as you attempt to switch tracks in the middle or make the ball go around only one half of the 8 using a variety of tracks.
