Comprehensive Language Assessments measure all three language areas; receptive language, expressive language, and social communication.

Expressive & Receptive Language Expressive language tests measure the ability to use words and sentences to express thought and ideas. Test areas may include; vocabulary, semantics, syntax, morphology, and or code switching. Receptive language tests measure the ability to understand what is heard. Test areas may include the ability to comprehend sounds, words, concepts, grammar, and/or written information.

Social communication tests measure the ability to interact with others using words, voice, facial expressions, body language and eye contact.
