This publication consists of 5 fold-out pamphlets for teaching children and adults of varying abilities the basic dressing skills: shoe tying, buttoning, zippering, dressing, and undressing. Each task is broken down with every step clearly illustrated and specific verbal directions to avoid confusion and to eliminate excess verbiage that can distract the learner. The author, an experienced OT, has included the needed prerequisites for each task, many great teaching tips, common errors to be avoided, and useful suggestions and adaptations.
