A collection of 34 sensory-motor activities, imaginatively conceived and whimsically illustrated that address both fine motor and gross motor skills. The activities use patterns contained in the book to copy and cut out and, for the most part, materials commonly available in the home and classroom. The equipment requirements are modest - scooter board, balance beam, therapy ball, for example. Each activity is broken down into steps which can be done individually as described in clearly written directions. A legend at the end of each activity shows adjustments that can be made to accomodate a child with any physical ability (see bottom of sample pages below). Also included are substitution ideas for equipment (wheelchair, walker) and materials and helpful alternative methods of therapy. For Early Childhood through Primary grades.
