Mat for Wood Pieces

After children form their letters on the letter cards, they practice forming them on the 8-1/2" x 11" blue foam mat. The bright yellow smiley face in the top left corner helps to orient the child. Imitating the teacher, children form capital letters by placing the wood pieces on the mat. They learn to make all of their capital letters with correct formation, sequence and orientation.
