Interventions for Toddlers and School-Aged Children with Feeding Difficulties
Overview: This lecture will address basic principles of feeding therapy, which can be employed in various environments, strategies to promote generalization of skills targeted in therapy, and collaboration across disciplines to promote successful oral feeding. Additional focus will be on identification of measurable goals and overall management of therapy plan. Videos of sessions will be reviewed to highlight approaches to feeding therapy.
Learning Objectives: Participants will:
identify and describe two types of feeding therapy;
identify strategies to promote generalization of targeted skills to other environments;
identify measurable short and long-term objectives for use in feeding therapy.
