WHAT IS FINGERMANIA?

Fingermania is a comprehensive hand skill program for children from preschool thru 3rd grade with mild to moderate fine motor deficits.
First, Fingermania is 72 Fine Motor Activities, each one shown in a high definition photograph on a 3” X 5” card. The activities are divided equally among 3 categories
- Coordination - where hand postures on the cards are to be imitated.
- Manipulation – where the hand activities depicted on the card use the manipulatives included in the kit.
- Visual-Perceptual-Motor– where designs depicted on the cards are reproduced using Wikki Stix and then copied from a second card using pencil and paper.
Then, Fingermania is a Board Game that provides lot of fun for up to 6 players complete with die, game tokens and a colorful game board. Roll the die, advance your token, pick a card from a select group and carry out the fine motor activity shown. The first player to cross the finish line is a Fine Motor Winner.
Fingermania is a Complete Set of Manipulatives including everything you need to play Fingermania: Wikki Stix, pop beads, tops, small clothespins and clips, Silly Putty, strawberry huller, pom poms, noise maker, miniature playing cards, scissors, paper punch, needle and stretchy thread, plastic ants, and an activity board and our own Lacing Board.
In addition, Fingermania is a Clinical Tool with a comprehensive Manual with detailed instructions for each activity including the target skills, challenges, and specific observations to be made. The Fingermania activities are also the basis of The Fingermania Screening Tool which relate fine motor issues to specific target skills.There are reproducible forms to be used in tracking the progress of student's fine motor skill.
The complete kit comes in a sturdy storage and carrying case that makes all components easily accessible wherever the therapist goes. Fingermania is a Great Value!
